Why this trip
There are plenty of ways to spend New Year’s… This one involves a little more purpose!
The Birthright Enhanced Volunteer Program takes you to Israel over the turn of the year, blending hands-on volunteering with time to see the country, meet its people and understand what resilience really looks like. You’ll spend your days pitching in alongside Israelis, and your evenings with a group of like-minded peers from the JewishERGs network who quickly go from strangers to the people you’re texting memes to in February.
You’ll also engage directly with the events of October 7 and the Israeli response to it, through a mix of hearing from a Nova survivor, visiting the Nova site and/or spending time in a Gaza Envelope community. These moments are meaningful, and they tend to be what people talk about most when they get home.
And here’s the best part: while everyone else is making resolutions, you’ll already be keeping one. Start 2027 by giving your time, deepening your connection and seeing Israel up close!
This is a special departure from New York, run with JewishERGs in partnership with Taglit Birthright Israel, Jewish Federations of North America and IGT.
